Gig Report: I ain't done yet, bitches!

Lest I forget, I sat in with Chris and "Spunk" from "Frank's Warehouse" as a member of the house band at the open mic jam at The Ringside Pub in Caldwell this past Sunday.

Their regular bassist was on vacation, and I got the call on Thursday to fill in. What a way to end the weekend! We jammed on a bunch of cool tunes, including "Sober" (which I finally got to sing!), "Rumblin' Train" by Badlands, a Cypress Hill medley, and a bunch of Zeppelin tunes (of course).

It was a light crowd, but we still had a great time. Plenty of guest musicians, many shots, and some weird looking, Mohawk-having freak played a few Tenacious D songs. "Drunk in publicness" indeed...(stay black).

All in all, a solid four days. This week is a Holy Week for me- Spider-man II opens on Wednesday, and I have a free admission to the theatre! I'm just that much of a geek.

Also, I met a really cool chick this past Saturday (hey, Angela), but I know of at least two ex-girlfriends who read this blog, so I will abstain from further elaboration. Why torture those poor, wretched creatures with excessive consternation? They already know the pain of a life deviod of my presence.

Holy fuck, I'm hammered. I'm off to view my newly purchased "Deluxe" version of "Spider-man" on DVD.

Oh yeah, a new Rush album of cover tunes comes out today (Tuesday)! So far, 2004 is my favourite year ever!!!

I just peed myself a little bit...
