WSOU

So, last night Quick Kill Formula invaded 89.5, WSOU. If you're not familiar with this station, you're shit out of luck. Do a GOOGLE search. It's my BLOG, and I don't feel like typing out the whole backstory/history of my band, the radio station, etc. Check out www.quickkillformula.com for details.

Dennis, Todd, and I (Jayson was sick with some sort of cootie) went to the 'SOU studios last night with a bottle of J.D. to thank the Street Patrol DJs for playing our music these past few weeks. All of the guys (and one gal) were really laid back and cool. We didn't expect any sort of "special treatment" for showing up with booze, but they actually put us three retards on the air!

There wasn't any kind of interview planned, so our air time was pretty much us announcing a few upcoming gigs, promoting the website, goofing on Don Ryan (from Sellout-he was a DJ on 'SOU for awhile, and got us on Street Patrol-thanks, Don!), and generally fucking about.

They played two of our songs on the air for the first time (Downsink and Taken-both available for free on our website). A bunch of people called in asking where/how they could buy our album (once again, check out our site).

All in all, it was a great time. They even let us program an hour worth of music following the Street Patrol show. I picked out some Mr. Bungle (big surprise), Clutch, GWAR, and other random assorted nonsense.

Thanks to everyone at WSOU ("Your station for world domination"), Weird Beard, Don Ryan, Baby Jesus, Austin Nichols, your mother, the Druids, whoever.
