Me Tube

Remember last post, when I said I might not wrap up the Fairfield fireworks tale? Guess what? I'm not going to.

Well, I'll just sum it up thusly: It rained like crazy, the tent almost blew away, Rob stepped in a giant bucket of ice water (funny, funny stuff), everything got wet, we traded food with the other vendors (sausage, pepper, and onion sammich-yay!), the fireworks were cancelled, we had to pack up in the deluge, I only got to drink one Sparks, my boss ended up losing money...

...and I had a blast. Seriously, the more chaotic everything became, the more fun I had. I'm a bit strange that way.

On to other things- go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7suox4YiaFo&search=cabin%20fever%20bar to see Big Al and I playing at Cabin Fever last week. The footage is a bit dark, but the audio is decent. Unfortunately, the camera Gene used to film us only tapes three minutes of footage, so it cuts off just as I begin my kickass guitar solo. Feh. Plus, the video and audio don't quite synch up, so it's a bit psychedelic. Check it out.

Cabin Fever Tuesdays are picking up nicely. More people each week, and Big Al and Skye (this cool Australian chick who sings her ass off) usually play a bunch of songs together, freeing me to read The Onion (love The Onion), play Big Buck Hunter III, and drink many shots. Good stuff.

The BAG is still closed until Friday night, and I am sad. I look forward to BAG Thursdays each week, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself tomorrow night. I may just stay in and read comics. I've been digging staying in lately, I don't know why.

I stayed home Saturday night and read and played guitar. Sunday evening I went to Mr. Vic's party and drank so much that I didn't feel like going out that night. I hadn't planned on getting hammered, but Kelly (Vic's daughter) handed me a full Solo cup of Wild Turkey and ice, because her dad asked her to make me a "Wild Turkey on ice," and she is unfamiliar with the concept of a Rocks Glass. So, the Liquid Menu consisted of:

-The aforementioned Giant Cup O' Bourbon
-Keg beer
-Chocolate Cake shots
-A "Mojito" (I don't know if I'm spelling that right, and I care not-it was delicious)
-Some evil Vodka-based drink called a Blue Whale

Many drinks, of varying intensity and Evil. After all of that, going out wasn't an option.

Monday night I stayed in and watched my brand-spankin' new copy of Clerks X. Three discs chock full of Kevin Smith Goodness. I've already seen Clerks II (because I rule you - suck it dry!), but I'm psyched to see it again in a few weeks, and I wanted to re-watch the original. Plus, it has all sorts of documentaries and behind-the-scenes crap, and I'm a sucker for that kind of thing.

Last night was Cabin Fever, and tonight is The Side Door. Friday is the Reopening of The BAG, which shall be nutty. Noelle (or "Oaky Undertones"-her Blues Name) is most likely heading up here this Saturday, and that's a guaranteed Silly Night. So, perhaps I shall stay in again Thursday night, sipping Turkey and reading comics. I love that shit.

You should try it sometime. But no, you cannot borrow any of my comic books, and if you lay one filthy finger on my bourbon, I'll eat your Soul.

...Soul...
